Job summary

WASH is seeking an Installation Technician to install and remove washers and dryers in apartments, condos, and homes across the USA. You will also clean units, perform light service work, and handle transportation tasks with a hand truck and lift gate.

A strong mechanical aptitude and ability to work independently are valued. Ideal candidates have a High School Diploma or GED, a good driving record, and English communication skills; Spanish bilingualism is a plus.

Qualifications

• High School Diploma or GED is required.
• Must possess effective English communication skills (oral and written).
• Bilingual English/Spanish desirable.
• Must be mechanically inclined and adept at using hand tools (willing to train right candidate).
• Some mechanical experience desirable.
• Must be able to lift 50 pounds on a regular basis and occasionally move 200 pounds or more with a dolly/hand truck.

Responsibilities

• Installs and removes washers and dryers in apartment complexes, condominium complexes, and customer’s homes.
• Cleans laundry rooms, washers, and dryers; performs light service work.
• Loads and unloads appliances onto/off trucks using a hand truck and lift gate.
• Secures machines with pads and straps to prevent damage during transport.
• Connects/disconnects hoses; builds exhaust vents using sheet metal when needed.
• Performs minor plumbing and electrical work.
• Maintains cleanliness around machines and transports parts for rebuilding.
• Reports necessary work to the skilled service technician.
