Job summary

CAI is seeking an Asset Management Specialist to manage IT assets, enforce governance, and provide on-site support across statewide offices. This full-time, on-site role requires regular travel (average 2 days/week) with a client-supplied vehicle. Work authorization must not require sponsorship.

Responsibilities include tracking assets, managing licenses, maintaining CMDB, negotiating with procurement, and enforcing ITAM policies while delivering excellent customer service to field teams.

Qualifications

• 3+ years of experience in helpdesk or field technician support
• 3+ years of experience in End User Hardware Support (laptops/desktops/mobile)
• 3+ years of IT Asset Management experience
• 3+ years using ITSM/ITAM tools
• Experience with software installation and maintenance

Responsibilities

• Track and manage IT hardware and software assets from acquisition to decommissioning
• Monitor license utilization, enforce license requests, and manage audit defenses
• Maintain AMDB/CMDB for real-time inventory across remote and on-prem teams
• Work with Fiscal and procurement to review contracts and renewals and negotiate pricing
• Establish and enforce ITAM policies and automated asset tracking workflows
• Manage support requests and document configurations in ticketing portal
• Generate reports on asset utilization, costs, compliance risks, and lifecycle refresh
• Provide desktop, laptop, and mobile device support across field offices
• Act as on-site technical lead for imaging or LAN connectivity issues
