Job summary

First Security Bank is seeking a professional, energetic Staff Auditor to join our Arkansas team on-site in Searcy. You will perform audit testing to assess internal controls, operational efficiency, compliance, risk management, and governance processes.

This role requires a bachelor’s degree in accounting or finance, strong attention to detail, proficiency with MS Office and related systems, and the ability to travel as needed.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in accounting or finance required.
• Strong attention to detail with knowledge of accounting principles and auditing practices preferred.
• Proficiency with Outlook, Word, Excel, typing, 10-key, and internet use required.

Responsibilities

• Develop a working knowledge of internal auditing, including internal controls, regulatory compliance, and risk management.
• Conduct scheduled financial and operational audits using internal bank systems and software.
• Analyze bank and audit data to plan and perform audit testing.
• Identify, document, and summarize audit findings; provide clear, logical recommendations for corrections.
• Support independent auditors and regulatory examiners during audits and examinations as assigned.
• Identify, prevent, and detect fraudulent activity.
• Prioritize projects and address business needs with strong problem-solving.
• Protect customer information and bank operations through confidentiality.
• Operate banking systems and office equipment; maintain proficiency with internal systems.
• Maintain a valid driver's license and occasional travel with personal vehicle.
• Perform additional duties as assigned.
