Job summary

All Star Rents in California is hiring for a full-time hourly Sales Clerk, primarily at our Novato and San Rafael locations. The role involves handling phone and walk-in customers, scheduling work orders, and closing rental contracts while promoting equipment sales.

You will maintain a clean showroom, follow up on rentals, and deliver equipment as needed. A positive attitude, safety focus, and basic computer skills are required; training includes a 90-day bootcamp to learn All Star Rents

Qualifications

• Must be 18 years or older.
• Valid CA driver’s license with satisfactory record.
• Ability to lift 50 lbs unaided.
• Computer literacy and basic software knowledge.
• Some mechanical aptitude and knowledge of construction equipment is a plus.
• Professional English communication skills; bilingual a plus.
• Safety-conscious attitude in the workplace.
• Satisfactory background check and drug screening.

Responsibilities

• Handle phone calls and walk-in customers at Novato and San Rafael locations.
• Schedule work orders and complete customer contracts.
• Maintain a proven track record of success selling equipment.
• Keep showroom clean and organized.

All Star Rents is a family owned Equipment Rental business established in 1962 and is operated by the 3rd generation of family members today. Our 13 locations provide sales and rentals of quality construction equipment, tools, and vehicles.

This is a Full-time hourly position that will require Saturday shifts. All Shifts end before 5:30pm.

Job Duties

• Working primarily at a sales counter at our Novato and San Rafael locations handling phone calls and walk-in customers.
• Schedule work orders and complete customer contracts.
• Maintain a proven track record of success selling new and used equipment for the branch.
• Responsible for Showroom cleanliness and organization
• Follow up with customers regarding rentals
• Commission new jobs as necessary
• Use knowledge of equipment to increase sales and drive business
• Loading and unloading equipment for customers and assisting with safety regulations
• Provide excellent customer service
• Delivering equipment as needed
• Keeping safety top priority
• Maintain a clean and organized work area
• Any tasks, processes, and procedures delegated by supervisor
• Maintain professional appearance as a representative of All Star Rents

Bootcamp Training- Introductory 90 day training. We will train you on everything you need to know about servicing our equipment and customers the All Star Rents way.

Requirements

• 18 years or older.

• Valid proof of eligibility to work in the US.
• Be able to lift 50lbs unaided
• Computer Literacy- Typing and understanding computers/technology and basic software (Microsoft Office, Outlook, Adobe PDF, etc.)
• Some mechanical aptitude and knowledge of construction equipment- Certifications a plus!
• Professional communication skills in English both written and verbal- Bilingual a plus!
• A serious attitude towards safety in the workplace.
• Satisfactory Background check
