Job summary

Sun Chemical in Clearfield, UT, is seeking a Tech I Inplant to support on-site ink production and color matching. You will assist with basic blending, QC, and documentation at the customer location, with emphasis on safety and reliable operations.

The role requires basic color toning skills, strong interpersonal communication, and the ability to lift heavy buckets and drums. On-site duties include recording results and ensuring compliance with customer specs.

Qualifications

• High School Diploma or GED.
• 1+ years industry experience.
• Knowledge of MS Word/Excel/Outlook; as well as dispensing and color match software.
• This is a customer-facing position that requires a high degree of interpersonal skill.
• Must be able to lift up to 50 lb. buckets; and move 500 lb. drums following operating procedures.
• Able to stand for long periods of time.

Responsibilities

• Produce and quality control inks to ensure inks meet or exceed the customer’s specifications.
• Provide some press side technical support, mainly color toning.
• Maintain detailed production and QC records.
• Identify a basic level of rework opportunities based on review of batch tickets.
• Maintain housekeeping and safe operations.
