Job summary

Safe-Way Garage Doors and First United are seeking a hands-on Industrial Engineer to join our Tempe, Arizona manufacturing operation. You will work directly with production teams to turn ideas into real improvements on the shop floor.

You’ll analyze how we manufacture, move, and deliver our products—then help us make processes safer, faster, and more efficient, with measurable impact on quality and profitability.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Industrial Engineering, Manufacturing Engineering, Mechanical Engineering, or related field.
• Experience as Industrial/Manufacturing/Process Engineer or similar role.
• Knowledge of manufacturing machinery, processes, workflows, and quality standards.
• Strong analytical, mathematical, and critical-thinking skills.
• Ability to identify root causes and develop practical solutions.

Responsibilities

• Evaluate manufacturing processes to identify efficiency opportunities.
• Identify bottlenecks, waste, and losses; develop solutions.
• Develop and implement new processes to improve productivity and safety.
• Use data to evaluate performance and guide decisions.
• Collaborate with engineering and production teams to keep quality products on schedule.
• Lead change with clear instructions and implementation plans.
• Champion quality and document findings to support improvements.
