Job summary

Newman Tractor is seeking a Field Service Technician to diagnose, repair, and maintain heavy equipment at customer locations across the Bartow–Apopka, FL area. You will use diagnostics tools and telematics data to troubleshoot issues and complete scheduled maintenance, while ensuring customer satisfaction and first-time fix efficiency.

Ideal candidates have 5+ years in heavy equipment maintenance, strong problem-solving, and excellent communication.

Qualifications

• Extensive knowledge of heavy equipment systems (diesel engines, hydraulics, electrical systems, transmissions).
• Minimum of 5 years in heavy equipment maintenance/repair.

Responsibilities

• Diagnose mechanical, hydraulic, and electrical issues on excavators, loaders, bulldozers, and motors.
• Perform repairs, adjustments, and replacements to restore functionality.
• Use diagnostics tools and telematics data to identify and resolve issues.
• Conduct scheduled maintenance and record all services in ERP.
• Communicate with customers to confirm symptoms and updates on progress.
