Job summary

Interstate Earthworks, LLC, a Wilks Brothers company, is seeking a Heavy Equipment Field Service Technician to perform on-site maintenance and repairs in Cisco, TX. You will diagnose diesel engines and hydraulic/electrical systems to minimize downtime.

The role requires at least 3 years of diesel mechanic experience, strong diagnostic skills, and the ability to work independently in a fast-paced field environment. Excellent safety record and readiness for on-site travel are essential.

Qualifications

• Minimum 3 years of experience as a diesel mechanic.
• Ability to diagnose complex mechanical and hydraulic systems.
• Proficient with hand/power tools and diagnostic equipment.
• Read and interpret manuals, schematics, and blueprints.
• Valid driver's license; CDL preferred but not required.
• Able to perform physical labor in varying weather.
• Safety-driven with strong problem-solving.

Responsibilities

• Perform routine maintenance, diagnostics, and repairs on diesel engines and heavy equipment.
• Troubleshoot mechanical, hydraulic, and electrical systems.
• Respond quickly to breakdowns at multiple job sites.
• Maintain service records, logs, and inventory documentation.
• Collaborate with field supervisors to identify issues and solutions.
• Ensure repairs meet safety standards and regulatory requirements.
• Assist loading/unloading and support other maintenance crews.
