Job summary

NextFlex is seeking an Electrical Engineer in San Jose to design, prototype, and test next‑gen additively manufactured flexible hybrid electronics. You will own projects and work with experts in system integration, firmware, software, testing, and process across medical devices and consumer electronics.

Responsibilities include circuit design, schematic/layout, and contributing to embedded C/C++ software while collaborating with a diverse engineering team.

Qualifications

• BS in Electrical Engineering with 3+ years of experience or MS EE with 1+ year.
• Experience designing PCBs for size, weight, and power constrained applications.
• Proficient in all phases of PCB design: part selection, schematic creation, constraints, libraries, layout, manufacturing docs.
• Experience with PCB ECAD tools and wireless systems (BLE, WiFi, UWB, NFC).
• Strong EE fundamentals and debugging skills with lab equipment.

Responsibilities

• Design, develop and test electrical devices on systems using advanced additive manufacturing.
• Perform schematic capture and layout; create footprints in parts libraries.
• Collaborate with a multi-disciplinary team of engineers and scientists.
• Assist and participate in embedded C/C++ software development.
