Job summary

Kreato Language Group LLC, based in Rhode Island, is seeking an Experienced On-Site English-Haitian Creole Interpreter to provide accurate consecutive interpretation in medical, social services, customer service, and financial settings.

The role requires facilitating communication between healthcare providers and patients to ensure understanding and quality care, while upholding HIPAA and confidentiality standards. Experience preferred, with reliable transportation and ability to pass screenings.

Qualifications

• 1+ years of interpreting experience.
• Knowledge of Kreato Global’s evaluation process conforming to interpreting standards defined by NCIHC, IMIA, and CHIA.
• Willingness to adhere to HIPAA, confidentiality and interpreter ethics.
• Ability to provide documentation of updated vaccinations as required by location/policy.
• Successful completion of drug test and Background Check & Security Screen.

Responsibilities

• Provides on-site consecutive interpretation.
• Follows all Kreato Global policies and procedures related to information confidentiality and interpreter ethics.
• Maintains strict patient confidentiality in accordance with HIPAA, FERPA, GLBA, and/or regulatory requirements, policies, and standards.
• Establishes and maintains quality service and positive interaction with all patients, customers, visitors, health care providers, and clinical employees.
• Continuously improves vocabulary and specialized subject matter knowledge.
