Job summary

United Bags, Inc. is seeking a Freight Coordinator in Washington Court House, Ohio. This on-site role coordinates inbound and outbound shipments, communicates with carriers and brokers, tracks deliveries, and maintains shipping documentation.

You will work with warehouse, sales, and customer service teams to ensure on-time, cost-efficient movement of goods. The ideal candidate has 2+ years in freight coordination, strong organizational skills, and proficiency with ERP/TMS systems.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent is required.
• 2+ years of freight coordination/logistics experience is required.
• Experience with LTL, truckload, and small-parcel shipments is preferred.
• Knowledge of bills of lading and shipping documents is required.
• Strong organizational and communication skills are essential.
• MS Office proficiency (Outlook/Excel) is expected.

Responsibilities

• Coordinate inbound and outbound freight shipments.
• Schedule pickups and deliveries with carriers, brokers, customers, and vendors.
• Obtain and compare freight quotes and select carriers based on cost and service.
• Confirm delivery requirements and handling needs before scheduling.
• Prepare bills of lading and shipping documentation.
• Track shipments and provide delivery updates.
• Communicate delays or issues to relevant teams.
• Maintain freight records in ERP and related systems.
• Identify opportunities to reduce freight costs and improve efficiency.
• Coordinate expedited shipments when necessary.
• Support routing and consolidation of shipments when appropriate.
