Job summary

Quaker Houghton seeks a Fluidcare Technician to provide on-site technical support within a manufacturing environment. You will record data, assist with coolant management, and perform routine maintenance on fluid systems under supervision as needed.

You will liaise with customers, prepare shift reports, and ensure safe handling of chemicals while complying with site rules and waste procedures. Experience in industrial fluids is beneficial.

Responsibilities

• Participate in addition of chemicals; including coolants, greases, oils, lubricants, cleaners and biocides as directed by site staff.
• Perform bio-stick dip tests of all machine sumps and central systems.
• Assist in the maintenance of coolant filters, washers, paint systems, pumps, air handling systems, etc.
• Measure and record coolant parameters and maintain lubrication schedules to ensure parameters are met.
• Liaise with the customer so changes in coolant parameters are highlighted and entered in databases.
• Prepare detailed shift reports and assist in routine maintenance on equipment and fluid systems as directed.
• Assist in disposal of contaminated articles in accordance with prescribed measures and waste management.
• Assist in maintaining and calibrating laboratory equipment such as scales, pH meters, glassware, incubators.
• Operate tools and equipment; may operate forklift, sump suckers, power washers, etc.
• May work flexible hours and interact with customer production and technical personnel.
