Job summary

Intertek is seeking an Entry-Level Field Technician for Construction Materials Testing in Nashville, TN. You will perform testing and site assessments under supervision, assisting with data collection and reporting.

Requirements include High School/GED, basic math/calculator/computer skills, and a valid driver’s license. Must be able to lift 30–50 pounds, work shifts/overtime, and follow safety protocols.

Qualifications

• High School/GED required.
• Basic Math, calculator and computer skills required.
• Ability to read and understand work plans.
• Must be able to read and understand work plans.
• Must be able to work off shifts and overtime.
• Valid Driver’s License and reliable driving record (required)

Responsibilities

• Operates testing equipment and conducts testing and provides data reporting.
• Works utilizing drawings, specifications, and diagrams.
• Uses methods to observe site activities and perform tasks.
• Makes detailed observations and interpretations of results.
• Maintains detailed documentation and data from test results.
• Operates a calculator to calculate mathematical test results.
• Communicates effectively with client and project teams.
• Adheres to safety practices and policies for personal and others’ safety.
