Job summary

TKC Holdings, Inc. invites applications for a Field Tech to repair or replace components on a suite of custom configured network devices supporting inmate phone systems under multi-year contracts. The role includes installing at new sites and assembling equipment.

The ideal candidate will have an associate degree or equivalent, knowledge of T-1 and analog circuits, strong network diagnostics, and excellent communication. Travel throughout the assigned region is expected.

• Must have T-1 and analog circuit repair knowledge.
• Strong network diagnostics to isolate and troubleshoot issues.

Responsibilities

• Walk-through of facilities to repair or replace components on configured network devices for inmate phone systems under multi-year state and county contracts.
• Install at new sites and assemble network equipment for inmate phone systems and add-on components.
• Service and maintain inmate phone systems at correctional facilities within the assigned region.
• Travel as needed within territory and coordinate with facility personnel.

About This Position

The Field Tech will perform a walk-through of the facility to repair or replace any components on a suite of custom configured network devices in support of multi-year state and county contracts. Field Techs perform installations at the new site. This requires putting together a significant amount of network equipment for the inmate phone system and associated add on components in support of the contract. Other duties as determined by the needs of the business.

What You'll Need

• Associate's degree (A. A.) or equivalent from two-year college or technical school; or six months to one year related experience and/or training; or equivalent combination of education and experience.
• Must have T-1 and analog circuit repair knowledge.
• Must have excellent working knowledge of multiple network disciplines and perform advanced network diagnostics to isolate and troubleshoot issues.
• Must be able to develop good working relationships with facility personnel.
• Service and maintain inmate phone systems at correctional facilities within an assigned region.
• Ability to travel throughout assigned territory as needed.
• Excellent written and verbal skills.
• Strong team oriented business skill.
• Professional attitude in dealing with customers.
