Job summary

Knoxville Utilities Board in Knoxville, TN is seeking a hands-on field professional to support its natural gas construction team. You will supervise on-site work, ensure safety and quality, and make real-time decisions to keep projects on schedule.

You will map assets with GPS, read construction drawings, collaborate with engineers, managers, crews, and contractors, and learn KUB standards to deliver reliable gas services.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent.
• 1–3 years of demonstrated experience in related field.
• Ability to read and understand construction drawings, standards, and specifications.
• Ability to work as part of a team to achieve departments and KUB goals.
• Ability to learn various computer skills including GIS, Excel, SharePoint, Word and Project Management Software.
• Have and maintain a valid driver's license.

Responsibilities

• Oversee field construction to ensure safety and standards.
• Coordinate with engineers, project managers, crews, and contractors.
• Record progress, monitor GPS asset mapping, and resolve field issues.
