Job summary

MBL Technologies, Inc. is seeking a Continuity Planner to provide on-site consulting support to a large federal organization in Washington, DC.

The role focuses on COOP and business continuity, with emphasis on training, exercises, stakeholder coordination, and operational resilience. The ideal candidate has active Top Secret clearance and 5+ years in emergency management or continuity programs, plus experience with federal frameworks (HSEEP) and senior-level briefings.

Qualifications

Active Top Secret clearance required.
5+ years in continuity of operations, business continuity, emergency management, or preparedness programs.
Experience developing, evaluating, or improving continuity plans in federal or SLTT environments.
Experience designing/training/exercises aligned with federal frameworks (e.g., HSEEP).
Strong experience briefing senior and mid‑level leaders and facilitating meetings.

Responsibilities

Develop, refine, and maintain COOP and Business Continuity plans for a large federal organization.
Lead BPA/BIA efforts to identify mission-essential functions and continuity requirements.
Design and facilitate tabletop and interagency exercises to validate continuity plans and improve readiness.
Coordinate exercise planning workshops and senior leader engagements; translate outcomes into improvements.
Prepare after-action reports and executive‑level deliverables with clear recommendations.
