Job summary

Lockheed Martin in Dallas, Texas, is seeking a General Maintenance Mechanic A to join the Maintenance Team. You will perform a broad spectrum of construction, maintenance, repair, and fabrication tasks to keep plant facilities and production equipment operational.

The role requires a high school diploma, at least three years of related experience, and successful completion of US citizen requirements for a facility with special access.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent
• At least two (2) years of trades training
• Experience operating a forklift
• At least 3 years of related production warehouse and construction experience
• Must be a US Citizen due to special access
• Candidates must be able to work 1st, 2nd, 3rd, or "D" weekend shift according to the collective bargaining agreement between Lockheed Martin and the UAW

Responsibilities

• Perform preventative maintenance on rooftop units, air handlers, hoists, paint booths, and other critical equipment
• Construct and repair structures such as storage sheds, metal frames, security fencing, and equipment foundations
• Fabricate and install steel, sheet‑metal, shelving, racks, benches, and air‑duct systems
• Operate heavy machinery, rig loads, and move large equipment safely
• Maintain clean work areas, report issues, and support the lead supervisor
