Job summary

Orica is seeking an Explosives Blaster at Greencastle, PA to join our USA Commercial team. The role oversees daily loading and blasting operations and mentors the team to meet mining services goals with safety and professionalism at its core.

Relocation may be offered for qualified candidates. The position requires building customer relationships at sites, applying quality standards, and ensuring regulatory compliance across blasting activities.

Qualifications

• 1–3 years blasting experience required.
• Knowledge of non-electric and electronic detonators.
• Experience with packaged and bulk explosives.
• Familiarity with mining, quarry, and construction regulations.

Responsibilities

• Ensure safety of employees, customers, and the public.
• Create and maintain a culture of empowerment and continuous improvement.
• Set and communicate targets to all team members.
• Deliver loading and firing operations to meet service quality goals.
• Ensure compliance with quality specifications.
• Assist in establishing QA procedures.
• Maximize asset utilization within agreed service levels.
• Contribute to project scopes with customers and site managers.
• Attend daily planning meetings; adapt to changing priorities.
