Job summary

ASSA ABLOY South Central Service Center is seeking an Estimator to join on-site at our Mesquite, Texas manufacturing facility. You will review drawings, prepare estimates for doors, frames, and hardware, and coordinate with customers on project status and potential issues.

You will support field inspections and ensure compliance with specifications. The role requires at least 1 year estimating experience and strong MS Office skills, with preference for construction industry exposure and

Qualifications

• High School diploma or GED equivalent.
• 1 year estimating experience, preferably in hollow metal door openings.
• Understanding of the construction industry; exposure to commercial construction a plus.
• Exposure to reading blueprints and shop drawings is desired.
• Analytical, problem-solving, organizational and multitasking abilities.
• Proficient computer skills; MS Office; ERP/Order Management experience a plus.

Responsibilities

• Act as liaison between us and customers; communicate project status and discrepancies.
• Review technical drawings/blueprints and prepare estimates using pricing info for doors, frames, hardware, shipping, and production issues.
• Prepare quotes while considering product capabilities and limitations.
• Verify drawings for accuracy, manufacturability, and specification compliance.
• Input quotes into the system and coordinate with customers on project progress; support field inspections.
