Job summary

Select Search, LLC is assisting a global manufacturing client in the Greenville-Spartanburg, SC area to recruit an Environmental Manager. This role provides strategic and tactical multi-site support, serving as the SME for all environmental media with a focus on hazardous waste management.

Qualifications

• BS degree in Engineering, Environmental Science, or a related STEM discipline.
• 6 to 10 years of progressive environmental compliance experience in manufacturing or heavy industry.
• Expert-level knowledge of hazardous waste regulations and multi-media programs.
• Willingness to work 100% on-site in Greenville-Spartanburg, SC; visa sponsorship not available.

Responsibilities

• Oversee, maintain, and audit environmental compliance programs across multiple regional facilities.
• Manage Air, Water, and Waste programs (permitting, emissions, wastewater, stormwater).
• Lead hazardous waste management (RCRA) enterprise-wide.
• Design and implement robust environmental programs to elevate standards.
• Mentor indirect environmental and safety reports at sites.
• Maintain regulatory agency interfaces, inspections, reporting deadlines, and permit renewals.
