Job summary

SCALIS is seeking a Network Administrator with a strong routing and switching background to lead on-site enterprise deployments in client facilities. You will be the technical authority, configuring, troubleshooting, and maintaining high-capacity circuits, bridging physical infrastructure and complex network logic.

The role requires CCNA with CCNP/CCIE preferred, experience with Cisco/Juniper/Meraki hardware, BGP/OSPF, SD-WAN, and Wireshark analysis.

Qualifications

Cisco CCNA (Routing & Switching) required; CCNP or CCIE highly preferred.
Alternative: Juniper JNCIA/JNCIS, or CompTIA Network+ with significant field experience.
Hardware: Cisco ISR/ASR routers, Catalyst switches, Juniper MX/EX series, Meraki MS/MX stacks.
Protocols: TCP/IP, IPv4/IPv6, BGP, OSPF, EIGRP, and SD-WAN architectures.
Network Analysis: Wireshark packet analysis for latency/jitter issues.
Physical Layer: Fiber/Copper standards; OTDR or Fusion Splicer skills.

Responsibilities

Advanced L2/L3 troubleshooting of complex connectivity issues (BGP, OSPF, VLAN tagging, STP).
Lead on-site installation and CLI-based configuration of Cisco, Juniper, and Meraki hardware.
Circuit validation using high-end diagnostic tools (VIAVI, NetAlly) to meet SLAs.
Serve as primary field liaison for the NOC during turn-ups of static IP blocks and routing tables.
Perform audits of MDF/IDF to optimize equipment placement and demarcations.
Ensure physical fiber/copper is spliced and terminated to enterprise standards.
