Job summary

Michigan Automotive Compressor (MACI) is offering On-Site Summer Engineering Internships in Parma, MI. Interns will gain hands-on experience analyzing production and manufacturing processes, identifying improvement opportunities, and troubleshooting design and process issues.

Ideal candidates are enrolled in an Engineering BS program with an interest in automation, CAD tools, and manufacturing efficiency. Schedule is Monday–Friday, 8 AM–5 PM, on-site, May through August 2027.

Qualifications

• High School Diploma or GED required; Currently enrolled and pursuing a Bachelor of Science (B.S.) degree in an Engineering discipline.
• Pass pre-employment screening (drug & background).
• Manufacturing, Mechanical or Industrial Engineering student with an interest or experience in process improvement within a manufacturing setting.
• Previous internship or automotive experience; basic understanding of industrial automation, Auto CAD, SolidWorks, PLC, CNC, robotics, SPS and machine operation.

Responsibilities

• Gain hands-on experience in analyzing production and manufacturing processes.
• Identify opportunities and implement changes to improve quality, safety, reliability and cost-effectiveness; troubleshoot product problems involving design, material, or process.

Duties & Responsibilities:

The Summer Engineering Intern will gain valuable, hands-on, experience in the analyzation ofproduction and manufacturing processes. You will learn to identify opportunities and implement changes that improve quality, safety, reliability, and cost-effectiveness; Troubleshoot new or existing product problems involving design, material, or process. Internship candidates must be team-oriented, self-starting, and willing to assume practical application in a professional environment setting.
