Job summary

Harris Energy Solutions, LLC is seeking a Technical Services Manager to support client facilities across Upstate New York, focusing on energy-efficient operations in St. Lawrence, Syracuse, Marcy, Utica, Binghamton, Elmira and Albany.

The role requires hands-on engineering and strong communication with clients and contractors. You will lead technical investigations, develop cost analyses, and prepare detailed reports, while ensuring compliance with state and federal energy programs.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in Mechanical or Electrical Engineering, or 3+ years in facility management/energy engineering (degree requirement waived with 10+ years of technical experience).
• Strong HVAC/controls background with experience on large scale boiler/chiller/HVAC systems.
• Solid knowledge of Building Automation Systems (BAS) and Direct Digital Control (DDC) systems; ability to recommend and implement advanced control strategies.
• Excellent verbal and writing skills; writing sample required.
• Proficiency in Microsoft Office: Excel, Word, PowerPoint.
• Willingness to work in St. Lawrence, Syracuse, Marcy, Utica, Binghamton, Elmira, and Albany, NY; must have driver’s license and vehicle access.

Responsibilities

• Identify and implement energy conservation opportunities across client facilities.
• Develop cost and payback analyses for energy initiatives.
• Create detailed technical reports and present findings to clients.
• Evaluate data and communicate results effectively.
• Interact with facility contractors and demonstrate technical capabilities.
• Troubleshoot system issues affecting operation and energy efficiency.
• Assist clients with energy efficiency program requirements and rebates.
