Choctaw Casinos & Resorts in Durant, OK seeks an Emergency Medical Technician (EMT) to respond to emergencies, assess patients, and provide on-site treatment. Reports to EMT Manager or Security Manager on-duty. Start rate is $17.55/hour.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or GED.
• State of Oklahoma EMT/EMT-B or higher certification.
• National Registry Certification.
• Current CPR certification.
• At least 18 years of age.
• Ability to lift and move heavy patients and stand for long periods.

Responsibilities

• Conduct primary medical and trauma assessments, re-evaluations, and coordinate outside transport as needed.
• Bandage wounds, splint fractures, and control hemorrhages.
• Perform CPR and use an AED.
• Assist patients with prescribed medications and lifesaving interventions.
• Use diagnostic equipment such as sphygmomanometer, stethoscope, pulse oximeter, BVM, glucometer, thermometer.
• Administer emergency drugs per protocols approved by medical direction.
• Prepare well-documented medical reports.
• Maintain and disinfect all equipment and the medical suite.
• Perform other responsibilities as assigned.

Education
