Job summary

Amphibious Medics is seeking an On-Site EMT/Paramedic to serve as a construction site medical representative, coordinating with Health and Safety teams to ensure a safe work environment and providing first aid, triage, and follow-up care for workers.

The role involves managing medical records, on-site supplies, and incident reporting, with opportunities to participate in health fairs and safety meetings across major projects. Prior EMS and OSHA experience preferred.

Qualifications

• Minimum of a valid National Registry or State EMT-B Certification.
• Valid CPR certification at the BLS for Healthcare Provider level (AHA) or Professional Rescuer (ARC).
• High School Diploma or equivalent.
• Experience with OSHA regulations, specifically 29 CFR 1910.
• Experience on large-scale construction sites.
• Experience with workers' compensation claim processes.
• Instructor certification for First Aid, CPR, AED training.
• Active OSHA 10 or OSHA 30 card.

Responsibilities

• Provide triage, first aid, and/or referral to outside medical providers when indicated.
• Remain calm in emergencies, assess situations, and respond swiftly including CPR and emergency care within scope.
• Maintain medical records and the site medical database.
• Maintain on-site inventory, restock, and clean treatment equipment.
• Communicate with outside providers on injury progression and follow-up care.
• Provide daily activity logs to safety and management teams.
• Conduct site walks to engage with workers and managers.
• Coordinate on-site health fairs (annual/semi-annual/quarterly).
• Attend medical and safety meetings with construction workers.

The On-Site EMT/Paramedic serves as aconstruction site medical representative, working closely withconstruction site Health and Safety management teams to provide a safework environment for construction site workers. This includes workingin a first aid capacity for injured workers, analyzing tasks forpotential safety hazards, implementing and participating in a siteHealth & Wellness program, and participating in the workers'compensation process.

WhatYou Will Do:

• Provide triage, first aid, and/or referral to an outside medicalprovider if indicated.
  
• Be calm in emergencies, assess situations, make sound decisions, and respond swiftly and appropriately, including providing first aid, CPR, and other emergency medical care within the scope of the position.
  
• Maintain medical records and medical records database for the site
  
• Maintain on-site inventory supplies, restock, and clean equipment usedin the treatment of employees
  
• Communicate with outside medical providers on workers' injury/healingprogression and provide direct follow-up care with workers
  
• Provide daily activity logs to the safety team and management team
  
• Perform frequent "site walks" to interact with both workers and managers
  
• Help coordinate an annual, semi-annual, or quarterly on-site health fair
  
• Participate in frequent medical and safety awareness meetings withconstruction workers
  

Requirements

Qualifications:

• One year of full-time experience in 911 emergency medical response
  
• Proficient in Microsoft Office
  
• Ability to walk and stand for extended periods, navigate an active job site including stairs, and carry required medical equipment weighing up to 35 lbs.
  
• Must also be physically capable of responding to medical emergencies, including providing CPR and assisting with or supporting the movement of an injured or incapacitated individual when necessary.
  

Education/Certification:

• Minimum of a valid National Registry or State EMT-B Certification
• Valid CPR certification at the Basic Life Support for HealthcareProvider level (American Heart Association) or Professional Rescuer(American Red Cross)
• High School Diploma or equivalent
• Experience working with OSHA regulations, specifically in 29 CFR 1910
• Experience working on large-scale construction sites
• Experience with the workers' compensation claim process
• Instructor certification for First Aid, CPR, and AED training
• An active OSHA 10 or OSHA 30 card
