Job summary

Amphibious Medics seeks an on-site EMT to provide triage, first aid, and referrals on a busy construction site in East Point, GA. You will maintain medical records, manage on-site supplies, and coordinate with outside providers for worker injuries and follow-up care.

The role requires one year of 911 emergency medical response, CPR/BLS certification, proficiency with MS Office, and the ability to work on site, lift up to 35 lbs, and respond quickly in emergencies. OSHA 10/30 is preferred.

Qualifications

• One year of full-time experience in 911 emergency medical response.
• Proficient in Microsoft Office.
• Ability to walk and stand for extended periods, navigate an active job site including stairs, and carry required medical equipment weighing up to 35 lbs.
• Must be physically capable of responding to medical emergencies, including CPR.

WhatYou Will Do:

• Provide triage, first aid, and/or referral to an outside medical provider if indicated.
• Be calm in emergencies, assess situations, make sound decisions, and respond swiftly and appropriately, including providing first aid, CPR, and other emergency medical care within the scope of the position.
• Maintain medical records and medical records database for the site
• Maintain on-site inventory supplies, restock, and clean equipment used in the treatment of employees
• Communicate with outside medical providers on workers’ injury/healing progression and provide direct follow-up care with workers
• Provide daily activity logs to the safety team and management team
• Perform frequent "site walks" to interact with both workers and managers
• Help coordinate an annual, semi-annual, or quarterly on-site health fair
• Participate in frequent medical and safety awareness meetings with construction workers

Requirements

Qualifications:

• One year of full-time experience in 911 emergency medical response
• Proficient in Microsoft Office
• Ability to walk and stand for extended periods, navigate an active job site including stairs, and carry required medical equipment weighing up to 35 lbs.
• Must also be physically capable of responding to medical emergencies, including providing CPR and assisting with or supporting the movement of an injured or incapacitated individual when necessary.

Education/Certification

Minimum of a valid National Registry or State EMT-B Certification

Valid CPR certification at the Basic Life Support for Healthcare Provider level (American Heart Association) or Professional Rescuer (American Red Cross)

High School Diploma or equivalent

Experience working with OSHA regulations, specifically in 29 CFR 1910

Experience working on large-scale construction sites

Experience with the workers’ compensation claim process

Instructor certification for First Aid, CPR, and AED training

An active OSHA 10 or OSHA 30 card
