Job summary

Dayton Superior is seeking a maintenance technician to inspect, repair, adjust and calibrate electrical and mechanical equipment in our plant. The role includes preventive maintenance, reporting, and maintaining a safe, clean work environment.

You will work on-site, using basic math, blueprints, and PPE compliance to keep production running smoothly. Candidates should have forklift certification and be able to read safety procedures and operate equipment safely.

Qualifications

• Ability to communicate in English.
• Ability to use basic math skills including addition, subtraction, multiplying, dividing, counting and the use of tape measure.
• Ability to read and understand all safety operating procedures and to use all safety features and equipment.

Responsibilities

• Inspects mill equipment at the time of malfunction, determines when immediate shut down of equipment is necessary to minimize damage.
• Determine cause of malfunction and determine best way of making repair.
• Make repairs as necessary. Adjusts equipment.
• Completes reports as required.
• Responsible for maintaining a safe and clean work environment.
• All other duties as assigned.
• Follows all safety rules and regulations.
