Job summary

Schneider in Wilmer, TX is seeking a Driver Manager to ensure successful delivery operations by effectively managing drivers and coordinating with customers. The role acts as a link between the business, drivers and customers, ensuring safety and efficiency.

You will oversee payroll, home time, and performance coaching, collaborate with multiple teams to improve retention and drive business results. This on-site, first-shift position runs Friday through Monday from 7 a.m.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree or 2 years of equivalent work experience preferred.
• Strong written and verbal communication skills.
• Advanced problem solving and critical thinking skills.
• Able to work collaboratively with a variety of teams, both internally and externally.

Responsibilities

• Make safety-conscious decisions that ensure compliance with all policies and procedures.
• Balance the needs of our customers, drivers and the business.
• Provide continuous, structured and proactive performance management and coaching to drivers.
• Manage driver payroll and home time.
• Collaborate with various teams to identify and implement creative solutions to improve retention and drive business.
