Job summary

NexGen Data Systems is seeking a SecureView Communications and Network Integration Specialist to install, test, maintain, troubleshoot, and integrate voice and data communications for SecureView terminals and infrastructure on-site in Columbus, Ohio.

The role supports VPNs, wireless access points, routing, documentation, and coordination with DLA LAN/WAN, firewall, and security teams, requiring DoD clearance, five years' experience, and strong network engineering skills.

Qualifications

• Minimum five years of relevant experience covering communications networks.
• Experience installing and maintaining voice or data network communications hardware and software.
• Experience supporting switches, modems, controllers, terminals, VPNs, wireless APs, routing, and connectivity.
• Experience using communications test and monitoring equipment and analyzing test results.
• Experience planning installations, transitions, upgrades, and cutovers while coordinating with users and suppliers.

Responsibilities

• Plan installation, transition, upgrade, and cutover activities for SecureView communications components and capabilities.
• Coordinate requirements and schedules with users, Government personnel, system administrators, network teams, security teams, and suppliers.
• Install, test, operate, maintain, configure, troubleshoot, and repair voice and data network communications equipment.
• Support switches, modems, controllers, terminals, wireless access points, VPN components, cabling, and related communications hardware and software.
• Troubleshoot network routing, connectivity, wireless, VPN, terminal communication, latency, and access-path issues.
• Use communications test and monitoring equipment to evaluate performance and isolate failures.
• Analyze test results and recommend corrective actions or configuration changes.
• Coordinate SecureView communications issues across DLA Security, LAN, WAN, and firewall organizations.
• Validate that remote and residential SecureView network routing functions securely and without unauthorized data exposure.
• Support installation testing, acceptance testing, system upgrades, maintenance windows, and post-change validation.
• Develop and maintain network integration diagrams, communication-path documentation, test results, configuration records, and troubleshooting procedures.
• Provide technical guidance to Tier 1/2 support and Tier 3 systems administration personnel.
• Support after-hours or emergency activities required to maintain SecureView continuity of operations.
• Transfer network diagrams, VPN configurations, WAP configurations, routing information, test procedures, and communications knowledge during transition-out.
