Job summary

Akima Infrastructure Protection (AIP) is seeking a Team Lead Training Officer to supervise detention staff and deliver comprehensive training programs in St. Paul, MN. The role focuses on security operations, contract management, and on-site leadership to ensure safety and regulatory compliance.

The TLTO will lead training sessions, verify proficiency, and maintain records, with certifications in firearms and CPR/First Aid. Strong communication and problem-solving skills are essential.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in a relevant discipline or 3–5 years of related industry experience.
• Must be 21+ years of age, US citizen, valid driver's license and firearms carry permit.
• Pass all pre-employment and random drug tests and background screenings.
• Must obtain DHS/ICE government clearance and maintain certifications.

Responsibilities

• Provide supervision and on-the-job training to Detention Officers.
• Ensure consistent service delivery across shifts and locations.
• Brief Detention Officers during muster and post checks about changes.
• Inspect facility areas and ensure proper timekeeping and staffing.
