Job summary

StratasCorp Technologies in Chesapeake, VA is seeking an experienced Deputy Program Manager to assist the Program Manager with day-to-day operations, scheduling, team coordination, and compliance in a defense contracting environment.

The role requires leadership and strong communication to manage multiple workstreams, interface with government leadership, and oversee PMO activities. Local candidates with an active Secret clearance and a Bachelor's degree are preferred.

Qualifications

• Active Secret Clearance.
• Bachelor’s degree in business administration, project/program management, IT, or related field.
• Minimum of 7–10 years Deputy Program Manager experience.

Responsibilities

• Assist with day-to-day operations and schedule management.
• Coordinate teams and supervise Team Leads.
• Interface with government leadership and respond to data calls as needed.
• Assist with policy updates and knowledge management initiatives.
• Directly supervise functional Team Leads.
• Coordinate task planning and ensure alignment between SOW/PWS, staffing and subcontractor activities.
• Maintain PMO, track milestones, dependencies, and deadlines.
• Manage daily program activities and ensure priorities and deliverables are met.
• Identify and escalate schedule or performance risks to the Program Manager.
• Support data calls, quality reviews, and customer audits.
