Job summary

MSM Industries, LLC is seeking an execution-focused Production Planner to drive day-to-day production planning, scheduling, and shop floor control in our defense and maritime manufacturing operations in Riverside, CA.

You will convert naval contracts and milestones into actionable schedules, coordinate with Purchasing,Tooling, and Program Management, and maintain ERP data to support on-time delivery and quality.

Qualifications

• Requires a Bachelor's degree in a related field.
• 2–5+ years of production planning or master scheduling experience.
• Experience with ERP/MRP systems (Epicor or equivalent).
• Knowledge of build-to-print, high-mix manufacturing.
• Excellent communication and cross-functional collaboration.

Responsibilities

• Master Scheduling & Work Order Management across specialized centers.
• Material & Tooling Synchronization with Purchasing and Inventory.
• Capacity & Bottleneck Management across equipment to optimize throughput.
• Maritime & Defense Program Support with Program Managers and Operations.
• Shop Floor & Constraint Resolution with daily gemba walks and meetings.
• ERP/MRP Data Integrity: BOMs, routings, lead times, lot tracking.
• Outside Processing & Specialized Test coordination to prevent flow stoppages.
• Operational KPIs: OTD, schedule adherence, WIP, scrap, rework impact.
• Quality & Compliance Alignment with MIL-SPECs/NAVSEA & AS9100.
