Job summary

Service Robot Co. in Madera, California is seeking an on-site Hardware Install Technician for data center support on a contract basis. You will install and maintain servers, switches, and storage equipment, and you will run cabling and replace failed parts.

Work involves coordinating with remote engineers, following maintenance schedules, and documenting updates. Training via our Academy is included, and the first assignment is paid. A background check and site screening are required.

Qualifications

• Experience in IT support, cabling, AV, electronics repair, or building computers.
• Ability to follow detailed instructions and keep accurate records.
• Comfort working independently and communicating with remote engineers.
• Availability for overnight maintenance work.
• Comfort working on your feet in cold, noisy rooms with hearing protection.
• Ability to pass a background check and site security screening.

Responsibilities

• Install, cable, and label servers, switches, and storage equipment.
• Replace drives, memory, power supplies, fans, and optical components.
• Test repairs before closing work tickets.
• Run, terminate, and test copper and fiber cabling.
• Follow diagrams, work instructions, and approved maintenance schedules.
• Give remote engineers clear updates on what you see and do.
• Record equipment serial numbers, connections, and locations.
• Follow site security procedures when removing or disposing of hardware.
