Prime Connected is hiring a Local Data Center Technician to support a dedicated customer site in Omaha, NE. This hands-on, local role focuses on data center tasks, ticket handling, and ensuring systems are running with reliability and safety.

Candidates should have 2+ years in data centers or related fields, proficiency with cabling, fiber, and network equipment, and the ability to work independently while communicating professionally with the customer. Compensation is hourly.

Qualifications

• 2+ years hands-on experience in data centers, low-voltage cabling, network infrastructure, or related environment.
• Comfortable working independently, managing tickets, and communicating with customers.
• Ability to troubleshoot, adapt, and document work clearly.

Responsibilities

• Respond to service tickets and complete data center installation and support tasks.
• Pull, route, terminate, and test category cable.
• Install and replace network switches and rack-and-stack equipment.
• Install equipment, cabling, and supporting infrastructure.
• Work with pre-terminated fiber and perform fiber testing.
• Troubleshoot connectivity, cabling, and equipment issues.
• Maintain accurate ticket notes and document completed work.
• Label and organize cabling per customer standards.
• Identify challenges and develop practical, creative solutions.
• Coordinate with customer and internal team to complete work safely.
