Job summary

Linde Gas & Equipment is seeking an On-Site Cylinder Inventory Coordinator in Chicago Ridge, IL for 1st shift. You will manage on-site cylinder inventories to ensure customers have the gas products needed for daily operations and coordinate replenishment with plants and distribution teams.

The role involves monitoring inventories of industrial, specialty, medical gases across customer locations, handling cylinders safely, and using JD Edwards and handheld devices for transactions.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent required; technical training preferred.
• Experience in inventory control, healthcare support, industrial distribution, logistics, or customer-facing roles.
• Strong interpersonal and communication skills for customer and internal teams.
• Proficient with computers and inventory management systems.
• Valid driver's license with clean record; ability to obtain site security clearances.

Responsibilities

• Manage on-site cylinder inventories to ensure customers have needed gas products.
• Coordinate cylinder ordering and replenishment with production plants and distribution teams.
• Monitor inventories across customer locations including industrial, specialty, medical gases.
• Support cylinder distribution and retrieval while adhering to safety policies.
• Safely handle compressed gas cylinders and dewars using proper equipment and procedures.
• Perform inventory transactions and billing using JD Edwards and handheld devices.
• Maintain accurate inventory records for full and empty cylinders.
• Collaborate with facility staff, clinical teams, customers and operations to resolve needs.
• Assist with order entry, reconciliation, cylinder accountability, and product allocation.
• Support medical gas inventory requirements in patient care locations.
• Identify customer needs and communicate growth opportunities to sales.
• Promote safety by complying with policies and industry standards.
