Job summary

GovCIO seeks a Cybersecurity Engineer to support IA/ISSO tasks for the U.S. Coast Guard International Ice Patrol.

On-site in Suitland, MD, you will maintain cybersecurity posture, manage vulnerability remediation, and develop crucial compliance artifacts to secure the Ice Patrol’s local network and aid modernization of the BAPS application. Qualifications

• Active DoD 8570 IAT Level II or higher
• Experience in cybersecurity, engineering, system administration, or network support
• Proven track record managing POA&Ms and remediation schedules
• Experience running security scans and producing compliance artifacts
• Hands-on Windows patching on LAN
• Strong communication with technical and non-technical stakeholders

Responsibilities

• Develop RMF artifacts (SSP, SAR) to support ATO for BAPS
• Coordinate vulnerability tickets and POA&Ms to closure
• Maintain eMASS documentation and system upkeep
• Perform hands-on security testing and scans with artifacts
• Patch Windows LAN and on-site devices (~16 hours/week)
• Lead hardware deployment: imaging and WIN10 replacements
• Engage leadership to implement security controls
