Job summary

Focused HR Solutions, LLC is seeking a Cyber Security Analyst to work 100% on-site in Jackson, MS. The role requires handling complex security procedures, investigations, and vulnerability management to safeguard information systems and assets.

Ideal candidates will have 5+ years of cybersecurity experience, familiarity with Nessus/Nmap, SIEM, and endpoint protection, plus strong communication skills for coordinating security efforts. This is a 12-month assignment with potential extension.

Qualifications

• 5+ years of cybersecurity experience.
• Experience with vulnerability scanning (Nessus/Tenable).
• Proficiency in endpoint protection and XDR/AV.
• SIEM and log management experience.
• Windows/Linux server administration for on-prem cybersecurity apps.
• Experience with common security tools (Nmap, Wireshark, phishing simulation).
• Experience with tabletop exercises (malware, phishing, ransomware).
• Familiarity with CIS benchmarks, NIST/Cybersecurity frameworks, MITRE ATT&CK.
• Knowledge of IT infrastructure including firewalls, proxies, 365 ATP/DLP.
• Strong written and verbal communication.

Responsibilities

• Perform a wide range of security procedures to protect information systems and data.
• Conduct complex IT security investigations and vulnerability management.
• Ensure users understand and adhere to security procedures.
• Implement and administer cybersecurity-related systems.
