Job summary

Tenderloin Neighborhood Development Corporation (TNDC) is seeking a Custodian to handle cleaning and housekeeping duties at TNDC sites in San Francisco. This 100% on-site role requires adherence to the cleaning schedule, safety policies and on-time attendance for regular weekday shifts.

The ideal candidate will lift up to 75 pounds, work well with a diverse population, and maintain strong interpersonal and communication skills to coordinate with staff and residents.

Qualifications

• Lift up to 75 pounds and perform medium to heavy work.
• Knowledge of custodial practices and sanitation.
• Ability to work with a diverse, low-income population.
• Excellent interpersonal and communication skills.
• Ability to follow safety policies and procedures.

Responsibilities

• Maintain cleanliness per schedule for designated TNDC sites.
• Sweep, mop floors and vacuum; manage trash and recycling.
• Attend required TNDC meetings and report issues to the GM.
• Assist maintenance staff and patch/paint as assigned.
• Respond to emergencies on after-hours on-call schedule.
