Job summary

Motion Industries in Findlay, OH is seeking a customer-focused sales/parts associate to maintain inventory for Consignment customers and source products across branch, DC, or supplier inventories. You will negotiate prices, promote products to existing customers, and help minimize costs while maximizing profit.

You will respond to inquiries, prepare quotes, and process orders via phone, fax, email, or in person, with regular training to grow professionally in a dynamic industrial environment.

Responsibilities

• Maintain inventory levels for Consignment customers.
• Source products in branch inventory, Distribution Center inventory or supplier inventory.
• Identify and sell Motion Industries’ assets; locate products when needed.
• Negotiate sale and purchase prices to influence gross profit within set parameters.
• Generate sales by promoting Motion Industries’ products to existing customers.
• Expedite backorders and prepare orders for shipment to customers.
• Adjust non-contract customer pricing to meet demand while maximizing profit.
• Minimize branch freight costs by selecting cost-effective fulfillment methods.
• Interact with customers to obtain and fulfill orders; coordinate with suppliers for pricing.
• Partner with Account Representatives to ensure customer satisfaction.
• Assist customers by troubleshooting via telephone or email and identifying correct parts.
• Attend training sessions regularly for professional growth.
• Perform other duties as assigned.
• Respond to inquiries, provide quotes and take orders via telephone, fax, email, electronic methods or walk-in (counter sales).

JOB DUTIES

• Orders items to ensure appropriate inventory levels are maintained for Consignment customers.
• Responsible for sourcing products in branch inventory, Distribution Center inventory or supplier inventory.
• Ensures identification and sale of Motion Industries’ assets. In some cases may have to locate a product.
• Influences Motion Industries’ Gross Profit through negotiating the sale price and purchase price, within certain parameters.
• Proactively generates sales by actively promoting Motion Industries’ products to existing customers.
• Expedites backorders. May pull inventory and prepare order for shipment to customer.
• May adjust non-contract customer pricing to meet the demands of the customer based on competition, while maximizing the profit for Motion Industries.
• Minimizes Branch freight cost by determining the most cost effective method to fulfill customer orders.
• Routinely interacts with customers to obtain and fulfills orders correctly. Interacts with suppliers as necessary to obtain pricing for items.
• Partners with Account Representatives to ensure customer satisfaction.
• May assist customer by troubleshooting via telephone or email and identifying correct part.
• Attends training sessions regularly to continue professional growth and development.
• Performs other duties as assigned.
• Responds to customer inquiries, provides quotes and takes customer orders via telephone, fax, email, electronic methods or walk-in (counter sales).
