Job summary

Jacobs is seeking an On-Site CSA Engineer for a major project near Baton Rouge, LA. The role focuses on on-site representation for civil, structural, and architectural disciplines through the construction phase, coordinating between Owner, Contractor, and design teams to resolve issues and ensure work aligns with contract documents.

You will lead site walks, manage design coordination, support RFIs, and provide weekly observation reports.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree or related field required.
• 10+ years of experience in large-scale commercial/industrial/mission-critical or data center construction.
• 5+ years supporting hyperscale data centers.
• Strong CSA systems knowledge and construction methods.
• Ability to review drawings and construction documentation with stakeholders.

Responsibilities

• Serve as the on-site CSA design and construction contact.
• Perform daily site walks to monitor progress, quality, and constructability.
• Coordinate civil, structural, and architectural design issues between field teams and consultants.
• Evaluate field conditions and facilitate design clarifications and revisions.
• Support RFIs, submittals, substitutions, and field inquiries.
• Review installation activities for conformance with specs and design intent.
• Identify deficiencies and communicate risks and issues.
• Participate in inspections, punch walks, and turnover activities.
• Provide weekly site observation reports highlighting progress and risks.
• Support BIM coordination and site validation activities.
• Coordinate with QA/QC, commissioning, and Owner reps to resolve issues.
