Job summary

Clayco is seeking a Project Lift Director to provide on-site leadership for all EHS activities on complex construction projects. You will oversee lifting, hoisting, rigging and high-risk activities, and serve as the on-site authority for crane operations, risk management and safety compliance from mobilization through demobilization.

The role requires 5–10 years in construction safety with crane/rigging exposure, NCCCO Lift Director certification, and strong leadership and training skills.

Qualifications

• Minimum 5–10 years in construction safety management with crane/rigging experience.
• NCCCO Lift Director Certification (or local equivalent).
• Minimum 3 years of electrical safety experience.
• NFPA 70E training (or local equivalent).
• OSHA 30-Hour, incident investigation, and management training.
• Proficiency in hazardous energy control/LOTO, scaffolding, crane management, steel erection, fall protection, excavation, confined space, rigging, and environmental controls.
• Strong communication, leadership, and mentoring abilities across all levels of a construction organization.

Responsibilities

• Lead on-site EHS for lifting and crane activities.
• Review lift plans for safety and feasibility.
• Collaborate with superintendents, PMs, trades to ensure safe work.
• Lead JHA, PTP, and site risk assessments.
• Monitor and mentor partners on safety programs.
• Analyze safety data and manage incidents.
• Deliver crane and EHS training.
• Ensure OSHA/local regulations compliance.
