Job summary

Elevate Aircraft Seating is seeking a Cost Accountant to analyze financial impacts of operations and production in our Huntington Beach site. You will forecast, measure performance against plan, and ensure accuracy and compliance across inventory, WIP, cost of sales, and recurring reporting.

You will develop standard costs, post journal entries, and provide monthly management analyses while partnering across functions to drive cost improvements and ensure alignment with company goals.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s Degree in Accounting or Finance with focus in Cost Accounting or equivalent experience.
• 5+ years in manufacturing environment.
• 5+ years in Cost Accounting.
• Proficiency with an ERP system.
• Advanced proficiency in Excel, Word, and Outlook; GAAP knowledge.

Responsibilities

• Create analysis and reporting related to operations for materials, manufacturing methods, or services and their cost impact.
• Develop, review, and update standard costs; post journal entries, accruals, and reconciliations for inventory and WIP.
• Provide monthly reporting and analysis to management; explain variances vs forecast/plan.
• Develop and maintain KPI data for inventory and costs; support forecasting and planning cycles.
• Identify cost-saving opportunities and support audits with schedules and analyses.
