Job summary

The State of Oklahoma, Department of Corrections, is seeking Registered Nurses to join the on-site Medical team at Mabel Bassett Correctional Center. Responsibilities include nursing assessments, planning, interventions, evaluations, health education, case management, and executing prescribed regimens by licensed authorities.

Levels I–III reflect increasing responsibility and independence; supervision of staff, patient education, and collaboration with the health care team are essential.

Qualifications

• Oklahoma RN license required (or eNLC recognition).
• Experience in health care setting preferred.

Responsibilities

• Assess health status of individuals, families, and communities.
• Develop and implement nursing interventions as care plan.
• Educate individuals, families, communities and health team about disease prevention and health promotion.
• Provide supervision to other staff and delegate tasks as appropriate.
• Ensure quality care through record review and ongoing assessment.
