Job summary

General Dynamics Ordnance and Tactical Systems (OTS) seeks a Controls Eng Technician II to implement, test, troubleshoot and improve electronic automation in manufacturing processes on-site in Mesquite, TX. The role covers ladder logic PLCs, HMIs, and data control across various machinery and equipment.

The position requires vocational/technical training with 1–2 years’ experience or an equivalent education/experience mix.

Qualifications

• Requires vocational/technical training or equivalent combination of education and experience.
• Preferred Associate's Degree in a technical field.
• Knowledge of electrical control and automation systems and related equipment.

Responsibilities

• Supports design, testing, and troubleshooting of electrical control systems and prototypes.
• Provides setup, configuration, troubleshooting and repair of control systems.
• Assists with testing of systems, devices, and instruments.
• Documents testing procedures and results following established methods.
• Maintains inventory of testing supplies and tools.
