Gallagher Bassett Technical Services, a division of Gallagher Bassett Services, Inc., is seeking a qualified Construction Site Safety Professional to become a valued member of our Construction Site Safety Operations team. The ideal candidate must have excellent communication skills and be able to work effectively as part of an active roadway construction site utility work team. The candidate must also be able to identify safety hazards, provide safety monitoring for the project, and deliver detailed daily reports on time.

Salary: $30 – $35.00/hour

Position Summary:

• Reports to the Director of Safety Field Operations and will be primarily a remote position.
• Ensure our clients’ sites comply with system safety requirements, including fire/life safety, safety training, certifications, emergency procedures, plans, drills, and other safety/risk management policies.
• Have experience and understanding of construction work, safety, health, and security implications related to roadway construction and utility projects.
• Prepare daily safety inspection reports, conduct weekly safety meetings, perform site orientations, and coordinate contractors and safety personnel for daily activities.

Required Qualifications:

• High school diploma or GED, with effective written and oral communication skills.
• Proficiency in computer skills including Excel, PowerPoint, Word, and Outlook.
• Successful completion of the OSHA 10-hour or 30-hour Construction Safety & Health Course (29 CFR 1926).
• Valid driver’s license and reliable transportation.
• Ability to work on your feet for long periods (8+ hours), lift 50-60 pounds, and work in various weather conditions.
• Availability for occasional off-shift and weekend work.

Desired Qualifications:

• Minimum 2 years of safety experience in commercial building construction.
• Completion of the OSHA 30-hour Construction Safety & Health Course.
• Knowledge of OSHA standards and local building codes.
• Excellent observation skills.
• Bi-lingual or multi-lingual communication skills.
• Preferred to be located in the Miami-Dade County, FL area.
