Job summary

ATMS LLC in Ashburn, VA is seeking a Construction Safety Manager to own safety on a large-scale data center site. This hands-on role spends most days in the field, observing crews, correcting hazards, and coaching foremen, with authority to stop work when needed.

The position requires five+ years in construction safety, NFPA 70E and OSHA 29 CFR 1926 expertise, and active safety certifications. On-site safety leadership and reporting to executives are key components.

Qualifications

• Five+ years in a dedicated construction safety role, with leadership on a project.
• Knowledge of NFPA 70E electrical hazards and safety requirements.
• Strong command of OSHA 29 CFR 1926 and field applications.
• First Aid, CPR, AED certification (or ability to obtain within 30 days).
• Proven ability to influence and direct field crews and hold teams accountable.
• Excellent written documentation and digital safety reporting skills.
• Valid driver’s license and reliable transportation to Ashburn, VA site.

Responsibilities

• Own daily on-site safety oversight for electrical installation crews.
• Enforce NFPA 70E, energy isolation, PPE categories, and energized work permits.
• Oversee high-risk activities: fall protection, lifts, rigging, hot work, confined spaces, trenching, and temporary power.
• Lead daily JSAs, pre-task plans, and ensure scope reflects site conditions; maintain OSHA 300/300A/301 records.
• Deliver safety metrics and reporting to ATMS leadership, GC, and client.
• Deliver new-hire safety orientation, toolbox talks, and ongoing site credential checks.
• Represent ATMS in contractor and client safety meetings, audits, and inspections.
