Job summary

Superior is seeking a Construction Safety Coordinator to ensure site safety across multiple job sites in Fort Wayne, Indiana. The role involves maintaining safe conditions, assisting with accident investigations, and supporting emergency response, reporting to the Safety Manager.

The position requires safety credentials, OSHA training, and experience in construction safety. The role is performed on a jobsite in Fort Wayne, with overtime eligibility and a competitive benefits package.

Qualifications

• At least 1 year of safety experience in construction, OR 5 years of field/project experience on a commercial construction site, OR a degree in Occupational Health and Safety (or completed an apprenticeship program).
• First Aid/CPR certification is required.
• OSHA 10-hour construction training is required.
• OSHA 30-hour construction training is a bonus.

Responsibilities

• Collaborate across the jobsite with Field Operations, Project Operations, general contractor and trade partners.
• Assist with collection of safety records after training sessions.
• Document all injuries, incidents and near misses.
• Sign daily paperwork to verify hazard and mitigation assessment.
• Monitor large construction sites and enforce safety regulations.
• Complete audits and daily reports describing activities and issues.
• Stay up-to-date with safety policies and trends; help establish new safety standards.
• Attend all safety meetings on site.
