Job summary

Superior is seeking a Construction Safety Coordinator to ensure that every team member on our job sites is safe and secure. The role reports to the Safety Manager and is based on a jobsite in Conesville, Ohio, with a focus on maintaining safe conditions and supporting incident investigations.

You will collaborate with Field Operations, Project Operations, and trade partners, while ensuring compliance with safety policies and regulatory requirements.

Qualifications

• Minimum 1 year of safety experience in construction, or 5 years of field/project experience on a commercial site, or a degree in Occupational Health and Safety or completed apprenticeship.
• First Aid/CPR certification required.
• OSHA 10-hour construction training completed.
• OSHA 30-hour construction training a plus.
• BCSP safety credential (e.g., CHST) or pursuing certification encouraged.
• Electrical construction experience is a bonus.

Responsibilities

• Collaborate across the jobsite with Field Operations, Project Operations, GC and trade partners.
• Assist with collection of safety records after training sessions.
• Document injuries, incidents and near misses.
• Sign daily paperwork to verify hazard and mitigation assessment.
• Monitor large construction sites and enforce government rules and regulations.
• Complete audits and daily activity reports.
• Stay up-to-date with safety policies and trends and establish new ones as needed.
• Attend all safety meetings on the job sites.
