Genex Systems is seeking a Small Construction Project Coordinator to oversee multiple small construction projects at NASA Langley Research Center in Hampton, VA. The role involves budgeting with RSMeans, reading engineered drawings, coordinating subcontractors, and ensuring work aligns with schedules and safety standards.

You will report to the Program Manager and support CMoe II contract activities, with mostly on-site work and occasional site visits to test facilities.

Formación

• Eight years combined education and experience in construction, construction project management, or a related field.
• Strong knowledge of construction trades, with emphasis on mechanical and HVAC systems.
• Ability to read and interpret engineered drawings and specifications.
• Working knowledge of project management principles and methods to keep several projects on schedule.
• Proficiency in Microsoft Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Outlook, and Project.
• Strong written and verbal communication skills, including presenting information with visual aids.
• A valid REAL ID compliant form of identification.

Responsabilidades

• Manage multiple small construction projects simultaneously from initial request through planning, execution, and closeout.
• Build independent construction cost estimates using RSMeans Cost Data.
• Read drawings and specs to define scope and help develop drawings for new work.
• Coordinate subcontractors, support contract awards, provide minor construction management, verify on-site work and track schedules and costs.
• Serve as main NASA contact, keeping the customer updated on each project.
