Job summary

Superior is seeking a Construction Project Accountant to manage the financial and billing functions for active construction projects. The role involves on-site support at the Detroit, Michigan jobsite and close partnership with Project Operations and Finance to ensure accurate cost tracking and timely invoicing.

The ideal candidate has at least 1 year of billing or project accounting experience, proficiency with accounting software and spreadsheets, and a bachelor’s degree in Accounting,

Qualifications

• At least 1 year of experience in billing, and/or project accounting or finance.
• Familiar with accounting software and spreadsheets.
• Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Construction Systems Management, Finance, cost management, or related field preferred.

Responsibilities

• Perform billing functions for construction project(s).
• Maintain a timely invoicing process and supporting documentation.
• Collaborate with Project Operations and external stakeholders for accurate monthly billing.
• Resolve discrepancies with Project Operations and Accounting/Finance teams.
• Continuously analyze project costs for accuracy and effectiveness.
• Deliver high-level customer service to cross functional partners.
• Support customer audits.
